Picture Day!!!

We did pictures today, we really wanted to get all of my mother-in laws grand kids, three other kids were unable to make it.
Jeremiah was a struggle today for picture day. He did not want to have his picture taken no matter what he was crying through the entire shoot. I don't know if you can see it, but in the pictures i have you can see a tear on his cheek in two of his pictures. But all in all I was pleased!

The eye of the Tiger

Joe had the privilege of getting his picture taken with a small tiger, at school. He learned that tigers are an endangered species. This is something he will never forget.

Gentleman

Joseph all ready for church. He is so curious about God, heaven and Jesus. I'm so glad this interest him, he told me the other day he has two families, one on earth and one in heaven. lol... I told him he has a lot of family in heaven. He brought up my grandfathers funeral on moms side a year and a half ago. He surprises me all the time, I couldn't believe he remembered that.

Jeremiah is a big boy now!!

WOW... He's growing up. This has been fairly easy, I thought it would be hard. He likes his big boy bed. No more crib to trap him. lol We decided to move him to a toddler bed since he was starting to climb out of the crib. I walked in one day just in time to catch him from falling on his head, that was enough to make my mind up. We can tell him to go to bed and MOST the time he does and stays till he falls asleep. He stays in bed at bed time better then Joseph.

Christmas

I really need to keep up with my camera, because I didn't get any pictures on Christmas day.:~( But wanted to share a Christmas pic with y'all so here it is!!

Jeremiah just didn't want to take this picture. We decided on the big one but I thought I'd share how much trouble this picture was here are six, (but there are many) of the mess up pictures. Notice in one Jeremiah just throws the hat at the camera. He was being a little stinker and Joe was bored with the hole thing asking are we done yet. lol

Why I let my children believe in Santa Clause

When I was a girl I remember believing in Santa clause. I remember the magical happiness I felt from it. Even when I figured out Santa was not real we still pretend that he was real for tradition. When my kids realize he is not real I plan to start a new tradition, to be Santa to other not so lucky children. I want them to pick out a child on the angle tree and be their Santa. Of Course I will still get them something but this will teach the spirit of giving. I don't believe it takes away from Christs birth, but instead enhances the experience. The reason Santa is there is to help an innocent child see the magic of Christmas. Life as an adult is hard and painful, and serious. A child that believes in Santa is innocent and believes in magic. They have their hole adult life to be serious.

It's good to believe in Santa, says psychiatrist

Believing in Father Christmas helps boost children's mental development and social skills, a psychiatrist claimed today.
The festive ritual of exchanging presents associated with Father Christmas also helps develop a child's sense of charitable giving as well as their consideration of others less fortunate than themselves, according to Dr Lynda Breen from Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool.
She accepted that some parents believe that promoting the myth of Father Christmas is deceitful and promotes materialism.
Parents, she said, had to weigh up the benefits of maintaining the fantasy against the day that their child discovers Father Christmas does not exist.
Writing in the latest issue of Psychiatric Bulletin she said: "Whether or not the fable is a threat to the child's trust is to be decided by each parent.
"On balance the tale of Santa Claus is a powerful tool that may serve to nurture social and cognitive development, particularly in a technological society where children mature earlier."
A child's belief in Father Christmas was also an act of faith and many youngsters draw parallels between him and God, she said.
But she argued although they might question their belief in God when they find out Father Christmas does not exist, they do not lose their faith in the long term.
She said: "Their capacity for faith in a higher, transcendent power is not lost just because Santa proves to be mortal."

our new puppy

Rosco is our new puppy. Joe has really loved having him they play all the time. Here is Joe and Rosco they have been playing so much. Rosco just follows him all over. Joe runs and Rosco chases after him. Here is a pic, I think is cute, because Joe wants to keep playing and Rosco is ready for a nap. I have to put Rosco up in his crate just so he can take his naps. Rosco is adjusting better then I thought he would he doesn't cry at night in his crate or wine. I was prepared to here him winning for at least a week.

OK, most of you know I'm not a dog person. I'm a cat person. Well Joe really wants a dog and Jr really wants Joe to have a dog so I decided on a English Bull dog they kinda have some cat features (that's what I tell myself) No but they have a great temperament, and sleep a lot. Their lazy dogs. Well I caved and let them get him hes so cut isn't he we pick him up on the 21 of Nov. We were going to make it a Christmas present but now it will just have to be an early christmas present. I'm really excited and I really never thought I'd get excited about getting a dog but he is just so freaking cute. Joe wants to name him Rosco.

Here at the bottom is Rosco's dad, I think that is how he will look when hes all grown up.

Halloween party at Joseph school

I got to go to Josephs Halloween party.. He was listening to the teacher and turned around and saw i was in his class he got a big smile on his face and told me he was so happy i came to his party and all the rest of the day he just kept telling me that. Wile we were there he kept telling all his friends, "that's my mommy right there," pointing at me. Its was a melt your heart moment. I really felt good that he was so proud to be my kid. I know that when he is a teen it wont be that way so i am soaking this in wile i can...lol

Then when the party was over he wanted me to go out side and watch him play. So i did and then took him home early. I had fun seeing him in his class.
The teacher at our parent teacher conference told me that he was doing so well that they had tested him. She showed me what he knew.. I was surprised he knew things i didn't even know he knew. She told me that wile they were testing they also tested the kids skills and she said Joe has a higher level of thinking. I was so excited to hear these words. She said we were very lucky to have him he learns well and can solve problems. We are lucky and grateful. well there you go that's me bragging.
